Here is a selection of books that I would recommend to anyone interested in field recording and nature. I would be happy to receive feedback and reading suggestions on these subjects, as sharing knowledge is an important way to improve. A good field recordist should not only understand different microphone techniques but also the environment and weather conditions in which they are working. Climate, wind, humidity and sudden temperature changes can greatly affect the quality of a recording.
